I remember there was tons of rain. It was raining and raining and I peered out the window to see a flood that was really high up, near the window. It was night time as this was happening.
When I walked, I noticed the water was coming into the house. It was now ankle-high. I was alone and this worried me. I hurried to a phone to call my mother. I got no answer. I even tried to call my sister but I got no call there. I remember thinking my sister lived a street over.
Eventually, somewhere along the way, I realize the water is gone. The floors are dry but there's lots of little debris such as blades of grass.
Much later on... I go to my sister's house. I see her and her husband seated at the table with a little girl who appeared 2 or 3 years of age sitting at the table as well. I get on the phone and call my mother. Just as I was about to tell her about the flood, my hearing aid breaks.
